How Cutting-Edge Technologies Are Taking Home Sports to the Next Level
When it comes to creating mixed reality (MR) experiences, visuals and sounds are essential, but there’s another crucial element that brings it all together — haptics. Without the tactile sensation of “feeling” what’s happening, interactions can lack authenticity. This is where haptics, and specifically, Meta’s Haptics Studio and SDK, take center stage.
How Cutting-Edge Technologies Are Taking Home Sports to the Next Level
We recently announced that we’re launching Home Sports, the first multi-sport that gets you moving in mixed reality on the Quest 3 lineup of devices. But how did this game come to be? In this new blog series, we’ll take you behind the scenes to explore the cutting-edge technologies that played a key role in its development.
My Reflections This International Women’s Day
As International Women’s Day is upon us, I find myself reflecting on its purpose and ongoing necessity. I belong to those who feel that International Women’s Day is about celebrating the pioneering women who paved the way; reflect on progress and my efforts to date as well as strategizing my next moves toward a more inclusive world.
Can I Play Demeo on Apple Vision Pro?
You’ve seen us bring the game to PC, PlayStation 5, Pico, PlayStation VR2 and most recently iPad and Mac. And now you can use the iPad version as a compatible app to play on Apple Vision Pro. Imagine playing Demeo on the largest screen possible with intuitive gestures for rolling dice and moving minis! This version is complete with direct and indirect input gestures as well as full gamepad support.
The Long Road to Demeo Battles
When we first envisioned Demeo – long before its 2021 release – it was more than just a game. Demeo was conceived as a whole world filled with stories and adventures. But even more than that, it was conceived of as a system. A toybox where we could take the pieces everyone would come to know and love and find new ways to play with them, delivering more excitement than could ever be contained to just one release.
What is Mixed Reality?
With new headsets coming to the market, including the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3, there are a lot of buzzwords and confusing terms in the industry right now when it comes to everything under the “XR” or “spatial computing” umbrella. So, we at Resolution Games have set out to clear up a few things.
How We Approached Map-Making in Demeo Battles
Demeo, the first game in the Demeo Action Role-Playing System, introduced players to five distinct environments to explore: from the dangerous depths of the Elven Necropolis to the sewers under Sunderhaven, the druid-filled Drych Forest, the sun-scorched Ronth Desert, and the tainted town of Ends.

What does a Narrative Department do?
“You write the story, right?”
Well, sort of.
The idea of a narrative department is still surprisingly new in the games industry. Even within development teams, there’s not a lot of knowledge about what people involved in narrative for games actually do and what they can do.

How Demeo’s Lore Came To Be

It’s 130 pages long. I know that’s a lot. It’s almost like this massive beast that feels a bit daunting once you meet it the first time.
