Player Code of Conduct
Last updated: April 16, 2021
Our games should be an open and welcoming environment, where players can feel safe and have fun. A major advantage of games is that it can be practiced by people from all kinds of different backgrounds and situations, giving us the chance to include a very broad range of people.
To create such an environment, we need to take individual responsibility for how we behave towards our fellow players and staff. By following the rules set out below, we make the game environment a place for everyone.
Breaking the rules has consequences. Exactly what these consequences are will be determined by Resolution Games, but the focus should not be on punishing individuals. The rules exist to remind us all to act more welcoming and inclusive of diversity. It also serves as a reminder that one’s intent is not always read the same way by other people.
Ethics for Players
As players we should never:
Express ourselves in an offensive manner about other players or their actions in the game, regardless of whether they are opponents or team-mates.
Use language, nicknames, gestures or other expressions that insult another player’s gender, gender identity, origin, physical ability, sexual orientation, religion or age or act in a threatening or violent manner.
Use language, actions or gestures that refer to sexual violence, other violence or sexual harassment.
Cheat.
