Tinyverse

Toward a Meaningful Metaverse:
Connecting Players with Shared Interests

The best games are the ones played with friends — the old ones you’ve always known and the new friends you’ve made through the shared experience of gameplay. That's why all our new games feature a Tinyverse social hangout, where you can meet post-game, or meet new friends to go play together!

Virtual reality has the power to connect people in a way that no other technology can. That’s why we felt it was important to create the Tinyverse: thematic in-game social experiences designed to help players start and continue these friendships beyond the game they all love. By providing new ways to play and connect, we’ve paved the way for gamers to interact socially and bond over shared interests, augmenting that bond with activities tailored to extend the fun of the very game worlds that brought them together. They came for the fun -- they stayed for the friendships.

 Our Tinyverses

Bait! - Casters’ Cove

Put down your rod and pick up your pals for relaxing mini-game fun that supports up to 12 players. Race RC boats, skip stones, paddle around in inflatable floaties and more!

Blaston - Ozo Lounge

You can really work up a sweat playing Blaston, so why not cool off in the Ozo Lounge? Spectate matches, design player-hosted tournaments, throw some darts or take photos with your favorite rivals on the dance floor before you get ready for your next match.

Demeo - Heroes’ Hangout

Everyone’s favorite gaming shop is open for business! Between play sessions, adventurers can enter the Heroes’ Hangout, a tinyverse experience where players can get together with other adventure-ready players in the community to paint miniatures, compete in archery, jam out to tunes, and more — or take a turn at Demeo’s very own arcade game, Hauntlet, and see if your friends can beat your high score!

The ‘tiny’ approach to the Metaverse

Any fully functional system — be it the human body or the modern internet — is made up of individual cells that form a larger whole. If it’s to succeed, the metaverse should be no different. Resolution Games’ CEO, Tommy Palm, talks about our approach to building tailored social spaces, and why it could prove foundational for metaverse design principles.
